Specs: Windows Vista
I currently have a Hp laptop that I bought last year and I have AT&T Wireless internet with Windows Vista Home Premium and for some reason as of lately, its been running real slow and everytime I click open the communication manager for AT&T to acccess the internet, it displays a "Diagnostics Alert" Message saying "Corruption has been detected in Feature Manager Settings, backup file has been loaded." Does anyone know whats going on? A buddy of mine told me to run a malware check with malwarebytes.org because I downloaded Limewire and recently removed it from my laptop. I had Limewire for a while and wondering if this caused my problem.

Do you have 64 or 32 bit Windows?

Try this manual:

1) Close Communication Manager.
2) Open Communication Manager. If the error persists continue troubleshooting.
3) Enable Hidden Files and Folders in: Vista
4) Click Start.
5) Click My Computer.
6) Browse to the following directory:
7) Windows Vista: C:\Program Data\AT&T\Communication Manager\
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AT&T\Communication Manager\
8) Delete the files featuremanager.xml.rc4 and featuremanagerBackup.xml.RC4.
9) Open Communication Manager. If the error persists continue troubleshooting.
10) Click Start.
11) Click My Computer.
12) Browse to the following directory:
Windows Vista: C:\Program Data\AT&T\Communication Manager\
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AT&T\Communication Manager\
13) Delete the Communication Manager directory.
14) Uninstall Communication Manager: Vista

Also try deep reseting your router.

I have a 64 bit! Im fairly new with getting in depth with computers and laptops. Im taking classes at ITT Tech for Computer Networking and I just started so bare with me if I ask some stupid questions. For instance, how would i reset my router? And when I open up MY COMPUTER, where can I find the COMMUNICATION MANAGER? I tried looking but I cant find it.
