Keylogger on my computer???????????

June 18, 2012 at 11:54:01
Specs: Windows 7
Hope someone can help. I found in my Registry through REGEDIT these files "fRecording Terminal", "Kernal Trace Provider Class" and "Keystroke Generator Class". Three separate entries. I researched on line and some sites say they are okay - supposed to be there and other ones say it is a Keylogger and I need to delete it. I tried to delete in the REGEDIT screen and tells me it cannot be deleted. I ran a scan of my computer and it didn't show up. Can someone tell me if this is an issue or not? Thanks!

The only for sure way is to reload it from a known original Windows dvd and see what is in it.

Most companies that offer pre-installed versions could have added in all sorts of stuff.

It could be an issue with some malware too. Just too hard to say. Blocking ports and applications with a good firewall helps.

Be sure to run your system as a standard user at all times. Have a good password on the admin account. Use run as when you need admin.

Hang up and live.

Download and run Malwarebytes from this link;
http://www.malwarebytes.org/product...
It picks up most keyloggers and anything else you might have.
Update and run a quick scan, if it finds anything please include the log in your next reply.

Please reply and let us know if our help worked.
