Keep getting random popups to weird sites and

Specs: Windows XP
I keep getting pop-up adds to weird sites when I first use my search engine (FireFox and my mom gets them on IE too). And then my computer's AntiVirus (Norton) will say a recent Trojan Horse attack as been detected and blocked. And they're usually Temporay Internet files, and it'll say C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe or C:\Windows\temp\xxxx.tmp\svchost.exe Or It'll get a virus attack when I'm not even doing anything. But it's fine when I disconnect from the Internet. And I don't know how I've gotten this. Some assistance ASAP would be much appreciated.

this what norton detected? C:\Windows\temp\xxxx.tmp\svchost.exe
okay i not very clear what happening.

actually this kind malware is not svchost.exe . something create it automatic and recreate after you deleted.

the main host to create this file always hiden in C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch - if you using windows.

host in this folder can recreate or do anything writers need it.

try delete in safemode or hijack and trace this files. it not just only 1 file. it will be many files with diferent names. i hope this will help you.
