Is this normal behaviour?

Specs: Windows XP
Hi Folks,

We are basically working on an windows environment, all our workstations run on windows xp sp2 managed by an windows 2003 server as Domain/DHCP/AD.

As administrator logged into the domain it is possible to automatically view the contents of the hard disk of any workstation connected on the domain, is this normal behaviour? What is the best practice or recommendation as I suspect the Systems Admin might be abusive of his powers. I would greatly appreciate any information in this regard.

Thanks
Joan

What constitute normal behaviour at work always raise thorny ethical questions. The best thing you can do is make sure there is nothing personal or sensitive on the computers connected to the domain.

Just that our senior management does place sensitive information and often gets misused.

Thanks
