I have Webroot on my laptop, which is using Windows XP. Normally, the Webroot scans detect any viruses, trojans, worms, or cookies and quarantines them (the same as removing them from my computer). I've ran the scan at least half a dozen times and Troj/TdlMbr-A keeps appearing. The virus scan is detecting the Trojan but I think one of two things is happening:
1. It isnt actually able to quarantine the trojan.
2. It keeps returning. So I need help removing this Trojan from my computer once and for all. Any help would be very much appreciated. I am not having any problems with my laptop..at the moment. I just want the darn thing off my computer so it doesnt cause problems later or reap information from me without knowing.
sounds like it is probably in your system restore...turn it off and then scan. Then try a scan with malwarebytes and remove all it finds. Also, like you said it is a trojan, so why not try trojan remover?
Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
