I need free fix for trojan & vundo viruses.

September 17, 2011 at 10:07:53
Specs: Windows XP, Pentium 4, plus extra RAM
I use Advanced SystemCare free version 4. When I look as it is scanning my computer, the Quick Malware Scan shows trojan viruses, and Vundo viruses flying by on the screen, but at the end of the scan, it says no problems. My computer exhibits all the signs of the viruses, and each time it does the scan (which now I have to do every day in order for my computer to work), I see more and more of them. How do I get rid of this awful set of viruses? I am unemployed and need my computer to look for work.

If the above doesn't work try these 2 free fully working trials:
1- trojan remover
http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/d...
2- Hitman Pro
http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro
run them untill they run clean

I appreciate your quick response. In reading what has to be done, I'm concerned about whether or not it is possible for me to do this. It looks like I would have to reinstall a copy of my operating system, which I do not have as my computer came preloaded from Dell. Is the process you've described replacing my operating system, or just trying to clean up my computer first, and then if it doesn't work, I will have to reinstall my system? Thanks.

Who said that? Hmmmm....I only give advice on the malware removal and didn't say anything about a re-install?

Hi XPuser4real,

Actually, I tried your fix first and that was what prompted me to ask the question on the forum. It didn't work for my computer, so I am going to try Brian's fix and see what happens. I'm not real good with technical issues, so we'll see. I may be buying a new computer with my credit card, which I don't want to do, but I may have no choice.

Thanks.

Yes, you're right. You didn't say anything about that, someone else did. But it's all good. Thanks for your help.
