Hi all, I thought I had the right password for a computer, I entered it three times and now the account is locked out. It also says the Administrator account is locked. I have the password for both my account and the administrator account but Windows keeps telling me I need to see my system administrator! Is there a way I can reset the password counter...pull the battery from the mother board maybe? This is driving me crazy. By the way, I waited overnight to see if the timer would reset, but it would appear whoever the administrator is set the timer to either multiple days or indefinitely...
Is this a computer on a Domain like a work computer? What does your login screen look like? Does it have a place to type the user name or is it just a list of users you can choose from?
It is a stand alone computer at my office i.e. non-networked. It has a place to type the username and a place to type the password and that is all.
