how to trust files on mcafee

Specs: Windows Vista
can anybody help. trying to open file that Mcafee internet security says is trojan but i know for a fact its not. need to get the file trusted but not sure how to

Thanks, Have done that and as you say get false positve. is there anyway to overcome that?

... whats the name of the trojan?

... perhaps it say's it a trojan as the file maybe a "hacking" tool?

it says its a generic.dx!wzp but i'm 100% sure it has no trojan or hacker in it. just need to get it trusted but seems to be impossible
