Specs: Windows 10
norton itself has ads/messages/info in small windows which you say you don't want to display the next time but that's for that specific situation, i would prefer not see any of these is there a way to turn these off so I have to see them, this functionality is more of pain in the butt than it is helpful, send that information via email instead, i read them if/when i want.

Get rid of Norton/Symantec, it's garbage. Try one of these freebies instead. I recommend Bitdefender.

Uninstall it.
Use Norton's Uninstaller because normal uninstall leaves too much behind.

Use something much better.
Many free stuff is much better as indicated above.
I personally prefer Webroots Secure Anywhere. I find it secure, not annoying in any way, light on system resources, but you do have to pay for it. I purchase a license for 5 computers online for about $65.00, less though for a single. No ads and no annoying pop ups telling you what it is or is not doing, including updating itself.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
