Specs: Windows 64
Hi, i want to uninstall youndoo through control panel (uninstall). But the problem is, i accidentally delete the whole files in C before i uninstall it.

When i try to uninstall the app, it said that the dll file is missing and i cant uninstall it. How can i resolve this ?

i already clean my recycle bin. i want to recover the file but i cant really remember when i delete it.

Really appreciate your help,
Adn

Youndoo is a redirect virus. Deleting the files will make it difficult to remove.

Run something like malwarebytes:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/products/

(The free/trial version) It should remove the remains.

Yes to #2
Then maybe run CCleaner and use registry cleaner to tidy up any remaining loose bits.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Just delete the remaining registry keys, it will also be removed from control panel/programs

use CTRL+F to find them in regedit

or is the virus still active?

Simple solutions are often the best

As well as MalwareBytes, run these two small freebies as they are geared towards browser based issues. Run MalwareBytes again afterwards. Copy/paste all logs on here.

AdwCleaner:
https://toolslib.net/downloads/view...
(blue "Download Now" button on right).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the program. Use the "Scan" button, followed by the "Clean" button.

Junkware Removal Tool (JRT)
https://www.malwarebytes.org/junkwa...
(blue Download button).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run JRT. It might appear to have stopped at times or flash the screen but sit tight until it has finished.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

If you know the way to download it, just download it again and cover the old file folder with the new version.

But if you just want to remove its registry and link from web browser, here are some tricks that help you out:-
• Try Chrome Cleanup Tool :
https://www.google.com/chrome/clean...

Or you can read the manual removal guide here if you do not want to download anything:

1.Reset browser settings
https://support.google.com/chrome/a...
2.Disable/Remove Chrome extensions
https://support.google.com/chrome/a...

This thread was started in Jan 2017. The poster has not responded since then so presumably it was only posted to waste our time.
