how to put password to my ASUS wireless route

details of my computer
WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE
PROCESSOR INTEL(R) CORE (TM) i3 2100 CPU @3.10 GHZ
RAM 4.00 GB
System type 32- bit operating system
Computer Name WIN- J7 FPTA607UQ

Now i got a ASUS wireless router installed by hard ware professional and he left. I am a senior citizen not familier with computer working. One of my friend advised to put password to my Router so that unauthorised tapping will not take place. I want to know how to put password. please suggest.

Open internet explorer or firefox. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. That's where is says www. Remove the www first. Press enter. The default user name & password should be admin & admin. After you login to the router interface, you'll see where to change the password.
