please help me in this ...how to block utorrent in windows xp and windows 7...i dont have a router...im facing problems that many are using utorrents and downloading unnecessary stuffs so i want to block that

Uninstall uTorrent then create a limited account. Give your own account a password. Tell everyone they have to use the limited account.

If you have no router, how are the computers connecting to the Internet? If there is a single computer that they all connect through, then just block the appropriate ports with a firewall on that computer (or - better - block all ports except a select few, such as port 80).

im using switch and through that we are getting internet...now there are any steps for this to block utorrent??

You can't get an Internet connection with just a switch. Either it's a router or you are using Intenet sharing from one computer.

Where does the cable from the Internet connection plug in?

isp provider gave one lease line cable(RJ45) so i connected that cable to switch
