Hi there-

Are you able to press ctrl+alt+delete and choose the Task Manager? If you can get to task manager, you can start to get this miserable thing off of your computer. I got trapped by this virus today as well, and I used the instructions at the link below to get my computer back to normal. Mind you, instead of using the "MalwareBytes" software that they recommend, I used SpyBot, which I already had on my computer and can be downloaded for free. Just a heads-up so that you know I can't speak to the effectiveness of MalwareBytes...

I have the thinkpoint virus on my pc too! The problem is, I can't get to Task Manager. It asks me to buy the anti-virus. How do I get past this screen of Thinkpoint?

I'm not sure if you found a solution or not but that just happened to me- the same exact thing as your computer. - What you can do is when you turn your comupter off and then turn it back on, BEFORE it gets to your sign on point and the first picture u see while its loading, there should be a list of commands at the bottom that consist of F12 and another command. BEFORE it automatically loads to the next page (generally the windows symbol, then your sign on) u need to hit F8 on your computer. It will ask you what you want to do. You should arrow to Safe Mode or Start Windows in Safe Mode with Networking. Your pc should automatically begin to fix the issue.

This fixed my issue but as soon as I got back to my desktop, I searched 'ThinkPoint' throughout my entire computer, deleted any files, then I ran two antivirus programs. AVG is good and Vundo or Malwarebytes Anti malware. OR do all 3 of these. This should fix your problem. Good Luck!
