I have been infected by a 'unknown win32/Trojan'
how do i remove it? my laptop is only a compaq mini 110. so it doesn't have a cd drive.
or maybe just reboot the whole computer back to the start? any advice will help.
download Microsoft Security Essential anti virus and update it then scan the whole system.

Malwarebytes might be able to fix it. Download and run the free version: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detai...
Real men don't use AntiVirus; they just reformat
Trojan Remover and Hitman Pro may do the trick for you Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
Okay well, I appreciate the replies.
but what if my laptop is so infected that its so slow i have trouble even starting up the computer.
would it be easier just to reformat it? I do have a secod computer i can use to do that.
if you want to just restore the laptop, read your manual and find out how to access the hidden partition. Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
Whether you format is up to you. In safe mode sometimes the malware doesn't load. Running malwarebytes then is often more successful. That's probably true with the other suggestions above.
