Uninstall the program

"So won’t you give this man his wings
What a shame
To have to beg you to see
We’re not all the same
What a shame" - Shinedown

Uninstall Norton, go to the control pannel, and click on the Add&Remove programs, then find it among them. After removing Norton you should go and Download Avast Antivirus, the HOME edition is completely free..
It has kept me, well for the most part, virus free for coming up four years now.
Why do people pay for things you can get for free.
Avast makes money selling big corporations security, so they give us peons a break and let us use their AV for free.
And there are a few others if Avast isnt up to your liking.
Good luck.
