"I was asking if anyone else has these videos suddenly appearing"
That is probably Yahoo just doing it's job.

"It won't let me delete these news videos which can sit in an empty folder but I think it's safe to take a better look"
Not normal.

Lets dig deeper.

Here are the first 2 steps, more steps will be needed, after I see the results of these logs.

Step 1: Run AdwCleaner

Tutorial

Close all open programs and internet browsers.
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Click Scan
In the results tabs, uncheck anything you don't want to remove.
Click on Cleaning.
Confirm each time with Ok.
Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
Please Copy & Paste the contents of that logfile with your next answer.
You also can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner [C1 or later].txt as well.

You posted in the Windows XP forum but listed your OS as Windows 7?

I'm guessing your SPAM & TRASH folders are related to your email, otherwise you would have mentioned the Recycle Bin. If these are email folders, it would help to know what email program you're using. If it's web based email, the files aren't even on your computer...they're on the email server (wherever that is). Why can't you just delete the file(s) & move on?

Yes, what email service or program are you using? Are you saying it will not allow you to delete it?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

It has only been one day (yesterday) that I had noticed in my Yahoo mail spam and the trash folders which were empty to begin with, each had an short clip of a world event. Yesterday also I gave out my email add. to someone that I should not have. The 2 things happened on the same day and of course I wondered if this person slipped me a virus; I was unduly suspicious I think as nothing else has happened and my 2 anti-virus showed cleaned. It won't let me delete these news videos which can sit in an empty folder but I think it's safe to take a better look. I was asking if anyone else has these videos suddenly appearing. It must be a new Yahoo thing yet I wasn't notified it would happen whether I want them or not. Thank you for your concern!
