Specs: Windows Vista
Hello neoark,

avira found a trojan (tr crypt xpack gen ) and eliminated it, but my pc is still too slow.
As I cannot run Hijackthis correctly, I followed your advice in one of your post, where you suggest to use AVZ.
I will enclose my AVZ.log to your personal address so that you can tell me what to do next,
thanks a lot
claudia

That's amazing that a member maksimog would post HIS e-mail address in a public forum.
Also, giving instructions via e-mail. This is a public forum and what is posted here will help others with the same problems.

I have to agree with XpUser4Real. It is not how this forum works. He might be stalking female posters? lol :-)

actually by the looks of his signature, I would say he is charging for remote assistance which is against forum rules

If that was the case he would be putting his email addy in every reply he posts. Which he doesn't.

Hi,

Not all recommendations may be used by all.
In a practice I used different methods to help user. And I don't understand, if you read 1 post you can see

"I will enclose my AVZ.log to your personal address so that you can tell me what to do next,"

That's what I did. Thank you for understanding.

Hi maksimog,

"Not all recommendations may be used by all."
Do you mean OP's(posters) or helpers? As what you advise a poster might give a helper a chance to learn new tricks of the trade. (If posters are not wise enough to start their own thread and use your advice for someone else's pc, they deserve what ever the effects will be)

A lot of posters will add there personal email addy's to a post, and ask for yours. This is not wise in a public forum. As it will be the target of spam and worse email account attacks. The poster should be informed of this. (There is a two way mail service built into the forum which you could use, if you really have to send a email addy?)

Sorry about the stalking joke lol :-)

Thank you for your explanation.

Hello,

I was concerned with the bad functioning of Hijackthis, which in my case does not "Run as administrator" and instead of the log it gives me back a blank window, so I found this post http://www.computing.net/answers/se...

I understand now that, in that post, the user was preoccupied by giving his personal data in public, which I wasn't, but I really didn't notice it at that moment, because I just wanted to find an alternative to Hijackthis which was not working properly.

I just happened to receive help from maksimog, which continued "in private mode" without asking me "why you didn't do this, why you didn't do that", he just helped.

I apologize for not following the rules, I just received help. But now I have learnt the lesson.

Thanks to all for your understanding.
