Hiding user's Internet session history

May 28, 2010 at 08:44:58
Specs: Windows 7
I went to view my sons internet activity (history) when I clicked on the links, it pulled up various images that I know is NOT what he was viewing ( fox news logo, photos of people in magazines, etc) Is there a program that exchanges the content that was actually viewed or sites actually visited?

What makes you think he wasn't viewing those sites? Clicking on the Links in the browser history will take you to the websites that were visited.

The phots were "generic" hard to explain, but I know that that's not the sites he was on..I also found that he had installed a program called "Chameleon" and I think it hides or renames websites visited..which is what I think he is doing. I am no computer whiz, so I apologize for the vague description... any ideas?

OS: Windows 7

In Windows 7, IE8 included InPrivate Browsing feature that enables users to surf the internet without leaving any traces incurred during the session. I guess this is what he must have used. If you wish, you can remove it following this RECENT POST
