Help with virus(?) removal

April 10, 2011 at 12:13:50
Specs: win xp
got a virus. scanned with spybot, malwarebyte, superantispyware, ms malicious software tool remover. still have problems. I keep getting these script errors. Also seem to have programs running - I can hear what sounds like movies playing thru my headphones even though I'm not even on the internet. I also lost the list of programs on the start menu. All of my recent documents are gone. I'm lost and don't know what else to do. Help!!!

it seems more like corrupt a windows than a virus but just to be sure go here: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and do an online scan and make sure all the antivirus programs like malwarebytes are updated.

Ok,Then you are clean put in win xp disc and do a repair of the existing installation. It will automatically detect existing install after you press the license thing, the one that says press f8 to continue. Then you just have to choose repair
