Solved Help with fixing laptop.

September 10, 2017 at 19:49:54
Specs: Windows 10
As of recent, i found myself unable to download anything from the internet.I tried using Microsoft edge to download but it would always freeze the moment i put in on.I did some research that said that i might have a virus that's causing the issue. Then read that resetting my laptop would fix the problem but i'm afraid that nothing will change except for my files and apps being deleted. Can anyone tell me if this method will work or give me some advice otherwise?

Which AV program are you running?

Have you tried another browser?
Know that you can download and save cleaning utilities on another computer and use a flash drive to transfer the download over and install it.
This would be very useful for downloading Malwarebytes, Installing it, and Running it to check if there is malware present. Use the free version and avoid clicking on the Free Trial which is a limited time version of the pay for version. The free version with its manual only scans is all you need really if you have a decent AV program.

I use IObitmalware fighter and installed Malwarebytes after i realized it wasn't fixing the problem. Malwarebytes detected some files and i deleted them asap but the problem still went on.I just ran another check with Malwarebytes and that too wasnt finding any problems.

Run these also:
https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcle...
https://www.malwarebytes.com/junkwa...
Delete browser History, all except log ons and passwords.
Run Disk Clean up.
Post logs from all three Malware utilities for review.

Now run Malwarebytes again in safe mode and post the log as well.

There certainly was enough junk removed that it should make a difference.
