Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 2.362 GHz / 2047 MB
For my own reasons I have always refused Google Toolbar and Google Chrome. Today I noticed registry entries as follows on my XP:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\No Toolbar Offer Until"
The individual entries were:
"Microsoft Corporation" (probably MSE)
"Piriform Ltd" (probably CCleaner)
"PC Tools" (Firewall)
"Skype Technologies SA" (Skype)
Each indicated the future date at which I would be reminded.

I checked Vista and Win7 and there were Google Chrome & Toolbar reminders at the same location.

If you want to keep clear of Google stuff and are happy in the registry you might wish to make appropriate deletions.

Not exactly Security but I thought this forum was the best fit for this info.

Deleting reminders from the registry is a great idea. Good thinking.

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

As I only use Google search engine I deleted the Google key completely.
