Google The current webpage is trying to open

March 3, 2011 at 07:30:05
Specs: Windows 7
A previously unknown message has suddenly begun appearing from time to time when I make a Google search. I get a message stating "The current website (which is google.co.uk) is trying to open a site on your intranet. Do you want to allow this?" I always answer No and then the search proceeds as usual. But does anyone know why this has suddenly started to happen; why it happens only every so often; and whether it is a sign of a security problem?

you may have a bad addon. Why not reset internet explorer?

Brilliant!

Simple but effective. Since resetting IE8, no further attempts today by any website to acess my intranet. Will keep checking, but this seems to be the answer. I have no idea how the bad add-on crept into the system...
MANY THANKS
