OK, so I am having the same problem as many other people on this site. When I click on Google, it works fine. I'll type in something to search for, and that works fine also. Then when I click on the link, I am redirected to some other crap that was not originally clicked on. I've attempted to download this "combofix" and "hijackthis", but when I type the websites into the bar at the top, I get a message saying "windows cannot display the webpage". Ironically, every other website works

You should run UnHack-Me tool to get rid of google redirect virus (browser hijacker)
or run the Malware Bytes anti malware program

Just try a different search engine if google doesn't work, like yahoo, ask, etc and then go to the download page and get it.
Here's the one for combofix:

unhackme will work if you follow the beginners guide and don't remove anything that is part of the windows operating system, but Hitman Pro is much more user friendly:

You may want to give that a try
