Im getting all these ads and pop ups even though pop blocker is activated. Im running windows defender as a antivirus , but it has found nothing , what should I do ?

its the ad down the bottom of this screen shot

its now on every site I visit.
its in several areas of my facebook .
At the moment its only in Mozila firefox , Is there a special virus removal tool we can use ?
No, I see now that its effected Internet Explorer too - see screen shot - -see the red arrow - ads not by this site, meaning facebook did not put this ad in, a malware virus put this in.
Im currently running Malwarebytes Latest edition to check.

1: Download & run Unhide
A introduction as to what this program does.
For those of you who no longer have the %Temp%\Smtmp folder, you will not be able to use Unhide to restore your Start Menu items. With this in mind, I have created some scripts to restore the default Start Menu for specific versions of Windows that I have access to. You can view the available versions below. I will be adding more as time goes on.
Once the program has been downloaded, double-click on the Unhide.exe icon on your desktop and allow the program to run, it does take some time, be patient. This program will remove the +H, or hidden, attribute from all the files on your hard drives. If there are any files that were purposely hidden by you, you will need to hide them again after this tool is run.
When Unhide is complete, it will create a logfile on the Windows Desktop called Unhide.txt. Let me know if it doesn't produce a log please.

2: Reboot

3: Run AdwCleaner
Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
Close all open programs and internet browsers.
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Click on Delete.
Confirm each time with Ok.
Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

I think I found an answer here -

Yes , the ads are gone now, it turns out some junk ads company created add ons for all the browsers to run the ads on facebook and other sites.

I've had the "This is not a joke" one today on IE. All I could find was lots of folk moaning about it, no solutions and many scam fixes. I have cured it by adding this line in the Hosts file:

If you are still having issues, want to try the above but are unfamiliar with Hosts, then shout back. It's effectively an advert and won't do anything bad unless you click on it (thereby asking to be scammed).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
