Solved Get rid of name which has come into my contact list

June 7, 2012 at 02:29:44
Specs: Windows xp
I got a "hornygirlhere" contact that appears when I write a message and press the To box, but is nowhere in my list of hotmail contacts when I open the list by pressing Contacts on the left hand side.
How can I get rid of it?
Where does it come from?
What does it do?

If it's definitely not listed in your contacts then try this: click on 'options', (top right), then 'more options' and under 'hotmail options' look for 'advanced privacy settings' and select 'only suggest people in my contact list'. Save settings and that should get rid of it.

As a final thought, under 'contacts', click on 'invitations' and see if the name is listed there - if it is then just reject the invitation.

Do you see it if you click on the Favorites or Recently emailed tabs?

You should be able to remove it in your contacts list, just select the option not to add it.

No Jennifer, its not in either - been through favourites folders - certainly not showing there.
Seems to be only when I press the To as I begin an email. This comes at the end of the list, out of alpha order.

It appears in the People tab but not in Category, Favourites or Recently emailed.
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean, Mike
