Hi guys, I reformatted my laptop yesterday but made a back up of all my files onto an external hard drive. I wake up and have a browse through the external hard drive only to realise that all my folders are acting as applications! Some of them were huge files with up to 12gb, and the sizes have all reduced to 208kb as well acting like exe files. It's got all my memorable photos on them from the past 6 years as well as other important documents...can anyone please help...?
Btw, it doesn't make a difference even if I plug it into another computer with a different OS. :(
FOUND A SOLUTION Hi guys, I don't know why any of it happened, but I've found a way to recover the data, a device software called File Scavenger. First thing I would say is don't add/remove/copy any files or folder or anything to that area. This software does cost but seeing as its recovered 42gb worth of invaluable data, the price was nothing!
