Specs: Windows 7
Hello

A fake windows security centre has got into my system. It keep popping up with messages, such as "Attention Spyware Alert" and then directs me to a website to purchase some software. I've seen other questions and solutions suggested, but it also prevents me from opening any programmes (literally anything: chrome, word and more particularly any malware removal programmes.

What should I do?!?

because you clicked on it you have embedded the problem in your registry. See this:
http://www.computing.net/howtos/sho...

For the removal Use:
1- rkill.exe (kills process)
2- tdss remover (removes the unwanted rootit)
3- malwarebytes (run full scan and remove all it finds)

in that order

Thank you so much! The rkill thing did the job perfectly allowing the others to then do their work. Thank you again!
