You'll need to use the "Safe Mode with Networking" option to get internet access in Safe Mode, and if you've got an active internet connection you could still get hit with a keylogger even in Safe Mode.

You will also find many devices don't work in Safe Mode (eg sound, proper graphics etc) because Safe Mode ignores all third-party drivers (except your network driver if you choose that option).

If you're worried about possible keyloggers, Safe Mode is not the answer. You need to install a good quality Internet Security package like Norton. Norton Internet Security is no longer the slow bloatware it used to be. It's much better now, in fact one of the best.

OWCH....that's a crock if I ever heard one!
Read why Avast is much better than Norton:
http://www.avast.com/pr-new-avast-f...

Use these 3 progs to try to remove your problem
1- rkill.exe
2- tdss killer
3- malwarebytes
Fix all they find and then post back

I think I'd rather have Norton than Avast.

Much better program doesn't slow me down at all.

Avast = Garbage.

That is FUNNY! Go ahead, pay for bloatware...each to their own.
