DNS changer no safe mode, no router

Specs: Windows XP
As it says above. I seem to have gotten one of the DNS changer Trojans on my computer. Along with the slowness, internet windows closing after being open for three minutes, and my whole internet not working - I am re-directed on any google search to or

I have tried to download combofix on my computer and on a jumpdrive but it didn't work.

The computer will not let me into my regedit either. I normally like to go in and manually fix things.

I also cannot get my computer to start in safe mode anymore. I click F8 and open in safe mode with networking, but when downloading the sys file it freezes at MUP, and after fifteen minutes starts normally.

Finally, my computer is attached to a wireless router. I cannot get my wireless to connect with the router. I am currently borrowing bandwidth.

I would try to run hijack this or something else, but i don't think I can shut it down.

Do I need to just wipe out? And what does happen if I just put the microsoft disk back in and redo?

Formatting is your last resort.

Are you able to download from the internet?

Are you able to access the "System Configuration" (msconfig in run)? If so, go into the startup tab and let me know the name/filename of your startup items.
