Desktop setup changes after restart

Specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, ntel Core i3 2120 - 3.30 GHz-4GB / 4GB DDR3 Ram
Always I have had my desktop, which is using two screens, organised in a way to be able to find things like shortcuts, programs, etc, quickly. Since a few days when I close down my PC and restart it all the icons have gone to the left side of the main screen. This makes working a lot more difficult and want to get rid of this phenomenon.

Is this a malware that is not detected by Bitdefender Total Security 2017 which is doing this or are there wrong settings in either the browser or windows that do that ?

I could be wrong but if you right click on your desktop, under View look for Auto arrange icons this is checked/ticked? if so uncheck it and see if this helps

Very unlikely to be symptoms of malware. If you want a program that saves and restores your desktop icon position settings let me know.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thanks, but I don't get there for a my unknown reason. I have my win7 in English, my MS-Office in French, with a Dutch language addition. My French is very, very poor and right clicking on the desktop comes in FRENCH

Is this Windows 7 Ultimate? Multi-language?
Have you upgraded the video driver? this could rearrange the icons on your desktop.
Why the Windows Desktop language is changed is a bit of a mystery. Are all Windows Menus changed to French?
