Can someone please explain to me how to delete a Win 10 backup? I have been backing up to a 'Free Agent' external drive using the built-in backup of Win 10 and need to free up space. Confusingly I get a lot of results for Win 10 on the web but when I click on these they go on to describe hot to do it for Win 7. This is quite different to that used in Win 10.
I only do it for Windows 7 but it should be similar, look in Windows Back up and Manage Space or View Back Ups and there should be a list of back ups and once highlighted, a delete button should be available. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
I think the poster is using the bundle software that Seagate dish out with their Free Agent drives? Personally I've never used it; and I have one such drive; albeit the drive itself is now in a replacement housing (as the original Seagate housing died...).
For a backup I would use/have used either windows own backup utility, or an add-in (Easus, Acronis etc.); and I think Easus has a freebie version.
The windows utility is usually OK nonetheless.
