Solved Current exe files are differenet than backup - is virus????

Specs: Windows XP

I have an old backup that includes many .exe files. lately I compared the content of the backup to the content in my computer and I noticed that all .exe files (and ppt) are changed. Using a comparison tool showed me that few bytes are changed at the beginning of the file and at the end of the file lots of bytes where added. Scanning the files using various antivirus tools - discovered nothing.
I'm still not sure that this is not a virus. So, my question - does anybody have a possible explanation? Do you know of some service or some specialists group that I can send them a sample of 'clean' and 'infected' files and they will analyze them?

Hi, Im not sure about your first question.
You can upload your files to the Virus Total's website. Here is the link:
It is a trusted site, and is used a lot.

Please reply and let us know if our help worked.

Thank you very much for your quick reply and for introducing me with this great tool (much better than the manual-one-by-one scans that I do).
But, and maybe I'm paranoid, I'm still not relaxed. Since I have two versions of the same file, with no reason to the change of the current exe file - I'm afraid the current antivirus tools don't recognize that virus, and I'm looking for experts who are interested in analyzing and compare the two versions (or if someone have an explanation of that phenomena - I will be happy...).
