Computer Won't Stay In Standby

March 16, 2011 at 20:46:39
Specs: Windows XP
My compter won't stay in standby mode. It starts back up again after about 5 seconds. I read an answer to this problem on another forum. They said to go into the device manager and right click "your nic" then go to properties and disable the "wake on LAN".
I did a search and cannot find device manager, Network Interface Card or "wake on LAN" in BIOS.
I've got McAfee anti spyware, CCleaner, RegCure, Uniblue Registry Booster and Malwarebytes anti-malware. Running all of that and the computer still has a zombie or something wrong. We have to completely shut it down inbetween uses. I also have a dell software warrentty and they could not find the problem either! Please advise! Thanks!
