Specs: IDK what OS is
I have a Compaq Armada E500 and i put a power-on password for it. When i turn it on it asks for the password but when i type it in it doesn't do anything. It puts a KEY with an X in the middle of it under "Power-on password". Every time i try it does the same thing. Can someone tell me what to do please?
BTW- i know it says that its a Lenovo......... but i just picked that at random

Some system (mostly old HP system) designed not to display
keystroke event while you typing the password. However it did
capture what you are typing.

What you can do is, try power on again - type your password as
usual (make sure numlock is cleared) - and press Enter.

Good luck
