Codec problems

Specs: Windows XP
RECENTLY PURCHASED SPYWARE DOCTOR WITH ANTI-VIRUS. HAVE RUN FULL SCANS AND REMOVED ALL INFECTIONS AND VIRUSES FOUND. STILL GETTING ERROR POP=UP SAYING NEED TO UPDATED MEDIA AND VIDEO CODECS. ALSO SAYS FATAL ERROR CODEC NEEDS TO BE UPDATED IMMDLT. OR LOSE ALL FILES. HAVE UPDATED CODEC I BELIEVE CORRECTLY AND STILL GETTING POP- UPS. DIDN'T HAVE SOUND AT FIRST NOW I HAVE BUT SCREEN WILL GO BLACK FOR FEW SECONDS THEN WHATEVER PAGE I AM ON WILL GET LARGER. NOT GREAT WITH COMP. AT ALL IS THERE AN EAST STEP BY STEP WAY TO CORRECT THIS? LUXE CODEC INDEX IT TRIES TO GOOGLE WHEN I CLICK ERROR MESSAGE.

A good idea would be to turn off the CAPS, it means you are shouting.
Maybe try a little bit of punctuation too.
Now to your problem. I would suggest that you download, update, and run these free programs:
1- Ccleaner Slim (no toolbar)
2- Spybot S&D
3- Malwarebytes
4- Spyware Blaster

These can all be found on one page in my signature link under good free programs and are all fully functional and may help tp clear up your problem.
