Solved Change many hta ext back to htm ext...

Specs: Windows XP SP3, intel core 2 duo
my pc was infect by virus/trojan
After i clean with smadav and avast... all ok now
But i see,... all my file ext htm in many folder change to ext hta.
How to change back to htm,... ??
Because if i change manual,... it's very may file in different folder...
Help me...

the only way is to individually change each 1 bk to .HTML am guessing u knows how to do that right?

One way to make it a bit easier is to put this into NotePad:

ren *.hta *.htm

Give it a name and save it as a .bat file (rather than .txt).

You can then copy this into each folder containing hta files and
they will change to htm when you double click it. This assumes
that all the .hta files in the folder "should" be .htm.

Another possibility is to use the fixes on here:

best answer.... if i search my file (hta) at my computer,.. result is in many folder,...
Hard to do... but ... i'll try....
last... i wanna ask..
Can i do rename ext with command /s (sub directory)....?

I don't think you can do it with the ren command if that's what you mean - it's quite limited.

Nothing lost checking that link I gave (HTA and HTA/HTML fixes) because if they work it would save doing things manually.

can rename to subdirectory
