Hi
I have a virus on my computer, so put it in safe mode and did a virus scan where it said it found four viruses and fixed four viruses, however still got the same problem and now it won't let me go in via safe mode, when I return on safe mode, it just shuts the system down. Help please.

Thanks

Hi thanks for replying, but it won't let me run in regular mode, as if I leave it to run normally it just goes straight to the virus web page and won't let me do anything at all.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks

yes, try these free progs in EXACTLY the order listed and don't boot untill aftee the last scan...you cxan do this in safe mode with networking. If you can't download the progs, download to a thumbdrive on a different PC and then load them on the problem one.
1- rkill.exe

2- tdss killer

if the computer has issues with running safe-mode or regular mode, you could always acquire the three programs above to a flash drive(on the system you are on now, which I assume is a different one.)and run them from safe mode with command prompt, if it allows. If you would like assistance one of us would be happy to coach you a little better.

Can't Boot Into Windows or Safe Mode?

If Windows won't start or if your computer won't start in safe mode, I recommend using a bootable antivirus CD.
A bootable antivirus CD can be used to scan your computer for malware without having to boot into Windows. Many antivirus companies provide free bootable CDs. They are extremely effective at removing malware from a computer.

Below are three highly recommended bootable antivirus CDs. I recommend using Kaspersky Rescue Disk.

Kaspersky Rescue Disk (270 MB) - How to create and use Kaspersky Rescue Disk
Avira Rescue System (250 MB) - How to create and use Avira Rescue CD
Dr.Web LiveCD (190 MB) - How to create and use Dr.Web Live CD
Burn the antivirus ISO file onto a CD using CD burning software.
Insert the CD into the infected computer's CD-ROM drive.
Enter the computer's BIOS, set it to boot from the CD, and reboot the computer. How to Boot from a CD
Scan for and remove malware using the bootable CD.

Further bootable antivirus solutions which can support you in removing malware are

eScan rescue disk
F-Secure rescue disk
Microsoft Windows Defender Offline
Panda Safe CD

If you are not keen in burning a CD for each of these I suggest that you take a look at a tool named SARDU. This tool allows you to merge common antivirus/antimalware solutions to a single CD or USB stick.
