Can't open certain websites

Specs: Macintosh
Hi all, I have a very specific problem.

We have a wifi router at home which supports three laptops and a desktop. For the past month or so, I've been unable to open a number of websites on our HP desktop, Dell laptop and my Macbook. These include everything connected with and several others. The page simply refuses to load. I can't access some other websites as well.

I've tried everything. We've rebooted the router, deleted all the cookies/download history, but nothing works. I've tried accessing these websites on IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Strangely, when friends use their laptops on the same wifi connection, the websites open just fine.

What do I do? I'm getting desperate here.

Maybe they are blocked in your firewall.

I would do the next step after a reboot of the router, hold the reset button in long enough to remove the password & then consulting your manual, reestablish your connection & use a strong password.

Hack lets intruders sneak into home routers
If you haven't changed the default password on your home router, let this recent threat serve as a reminder.

I am having the same problem. I have a macbook which runs off a wifi router as well, and everytime I try to open msn portal I lose total internet connection. I can go on any other webpage without problem. But as soon as I navigate to msn connection is momentarily lost. I haven't been able to get into my email for days which is a major problem since I conduct a fair bit of business through my msn account.

How do you check to see if your firewall is blocking it?
