can you get a virus from used mac RAM?

Apple Macbook 13.3

Specs: Macintosh Snow Leopard
I just bought used memory: 2 x 1GB DDR SO-DIMM PC2-5300 DDR2 667 MHz Type RAM for my late 2007 MacBook 13.3" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz laptop.

My husband asked how do you know that it doesn't have a virus? My MacBook currently has 2 x 512 mb RAM and runs Snow Leopard. I also have MSFT office 2004 on my Mac.

Is it possible to get a virus from used memory?

No, you cannot get a virus from used memory.
RAM is volatile storage, that is all data is lost when power is removed.

Thanks! My little brother thought that was the case, but just to be sure... because I don't know the seller.
