Can viruses do this or is it ny win 10 installation?

Specs: Windows 10
Hi there,

I've just recently moved & have changed my internet connection.

I tried to open my EA games Origin acc. & it stuck on loading the sign in screen. To cut a long story short, in the process of trying to sort it with EA help I sent them an msinfo file, they replied saying it was mostly full of windows errors I should try starting it in safe mode & look at my windows installation as they thought it had been corrupted.

So I tried to start in safe mode, got as far as my windows pin no. log in screen where it refused to let me log in as according to it my windows PIN code was wrong.

I have since tried running my own Avira free anti virus which says no problem. I have tried two online virus scanners, the first one froze without starting. the second one housecall from trend micro has got 25% in & now seems to be in a loop scanning C./..956473542.jpg:Zone.Identifier with the 9 digit number constantly changing. Windows also won't let me perform an SFC either. Do you think that this is a virus? or is it my Windows 10 breaking down? or something else perhaps. This is way outside my knowledge comfort zone, and as I live in the backwoods of Thailand I have no possibility of finding someone locally to advise me.

Some help would be very much appreciated please...

I forgot to mention, I'm running an up to date (hopefully) copy of windows 10 home & I've also run Malwarebytes with nothing coming up

I think what Johnw proposed is most likely going to be your solution, since it does looks like windows corruption.

JohnW, just has a few pre-scripted "messages" for issues like the one you are experienceing.
for efficienty sake & because he has answered questions like this probably 1000's of times.

so its no software adv, its a valid solution which has worked in the past.

alternatively you can perform a windows recovery (if its activated), to your previous recovery point.

No regular helper on these boards advertises products. We do have a few well used free programs that are suggested from time to time when we think they are likely to cure the particular problem posted.

At this point in time, we have no idea where the problem lays, hence the request to run Lazesoft & see it that fixes the problem.

Z- If you hover your pointer over your name you will see your E-rank which will rise (lower number) as you get experience here and as you begin to help others. Then look at the ranking of those who are trying to help you, they are among the lowest numbers and the most experienced in these matters in general and JohnW is considered to be the most experienced in your particular type of problem. I have been here a while and have gained a fair amount of experience and still will take JohnW's advice any day. In fact I will refrain from direct comments on the issue until I see how this proceeds with his suggestions. There is nothing to purchase and nothing to hide. If you see anything too personal on the log (name, etc) you can remove it and substitute [Name Removed], etc. before posting the log in your reply.

Like I said, that was an old post so why are you suddenly replying on it now?

When searching the software mentioned in response #13 I found a lot of similar stuff on the internet which seemed to read like sales talk.

There are many tried and tested free programs which regular helpers use on here. The first steps of a diagnosis using software was started but the original poster decided to go elsewhere.
