Solved Can one import passwords stored in Norton to Firefox?

December 29, 2018 at 11:17:08
Specs: Windows 10
In thinking about changing my current AV from Norton Online Security to another brand, my biggest consideration which would affect whether I decide to switch or not is the fact that many free AVs do not keep/manage passwords. If I were to elect to go with, let's say Bitdefender, I would have to allow Firefox to store all of my passwords. With that being said, is there any way to import all of my passwords which are stored in my Norton account over to Firefox's "Saved Logins" feature? Something tells me that the answer may be no since the saving feature is activated when you are on a site logging in. Let's hope I'm wrong since it would be a huge task to have to log in to every site just to have Firefox save the password.

"Thanks, but I was asking about being able to import all of my saved Norton passwords over to Firefox's login keeper"

Use the export feature in Norton.

Then the Import in Firefox.

Or,

You can install Norton Password Manager on all your Windows, Android, and iOS devices. On Windows, it installs as an extension for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

These would be worth a try, they will not interfer with your currenet programs.

Bitdefender Free is one of the best, if not THE best free AV available. But just so you're aware, it is extremely bare bones. There's very little the user can do or needs to do with it.

It appears AVAST has a free password manager: https://www.avast.com/en-us/passwor...

How many passwords can there be? If you're concerned about security & privacy, you shouldn't be saving critical passwords regardless of how inconvenient it is to have to re-enter them. And you should configure your browsers to dump history, temp files, cookies, etc after each session. If you're using Win10, just about everything you do is being tracked, so be sure to take the necessary steps to protect yourself.
