Is the file/folder in the AVG AntiVirus Virus Vault?

Plug in your USB flash drive

Then, to restore a deleted files/folder from AVG Virus Vault:
- Open AVG user interface
- Select: Virus Vault option ( from 'History' menu?)
- Locate the file/foplder that you wish to restore and click on it (just one
click; do not double-click!)
- Press the 'Restore' button

Now, if this file/folder is infected, you have a problem in your hands.

Post back on whether you can follow the steps to restore the file, and we'll proceed from there...

yes the file have a virus because the file folder became a folder that has an extension name of ".exe". Every time I restore it back to my thumb drive or desktop, it alerts that it has a virus. And every time i "heal" it, it goes back to the virus vault.
What i wanted to do is "how will i make that file normal again", there are lots of files in that folder that i need. thanks a lot for your help....:)
