Specs: Windows XP, 2.992 GHz / 2045 MB
I have recently taken this system back to factory state, from a full system restore. AVG & Malwarebytes were installed and have been run regularly. I have still been infected with an brower redirector when running searches and clicking on the links. I have tried the CoolWebSearch tool and it found nothing. AVG & Malwarebytes show no infection.

You first have to disable Javascript in the browser your using? As this is what the virus uses to redirect you. (This is a temp- fix so you can start removing the virus)
Next download TDSSkiller from this link,
You now need to update malwarebytes and run a full scan.
Now download HitmanPro 3.5 from this link and do a full scan.
Now try your browser and see if the redirecting has gone?
If it has? enable your javascript again.
You should also disable system restore at this point to clear any infections from there. Then enable system restore.

Thank you,

That seems to have taken care of the problem. I am going to have the user let me know if there are any further problems.
