Solved Blank square in history

Specs: Windows XP home, 248 MB
Just wondering why there a blank square were the icons should be in the history page Don't know where to post

As it happens the self same thing happens in my Firefox although I ignored it. I think this is the fix:
"Go into add-ons, click plugins on left, and disable "Silverlight plugin". You will probably still have to click the bookmarks one by one and open each website to make its icon return.

I also found that when you had restored some icons, after re-enabling Silverlight you could still make the remaining missing ones appear by going to their websites.

Rather strange all this but it works - seems like a bug in the addon.

Which web browser are you referring to?

Blank square instead of a custom icon simply means that particular web page doesn't have a custom icon associated with it, so your web browser substitutes a generic icon, which is a blank square.

Have you tried clicking on one and going to the website? Often that makes the icons appear. I doubt this is a security issue.
