November 27, 2010 at 08:12:49
Specs: Windows Vista
Everytime I log into my Bank of America online banking account, I get a pop up that I can not close or click out of. It says:
In order to provide you with extra security we occasionally need to ask for additional information etc. Then it wants you to type in your credit card and other personal information
I know its a virus, confirmed by the bank, and I've seen some other posts about this with no answers that work.
I have webroot and malwarebytes, neiher picked it up.

sounds like a keylogger is installed.
Run these progs and see how that works:
1- trojan Remover
2- Hitman Pro
Run them till they are clean

The only sure way to get rid of a keylogger is to reformat the HD, BUT that is a last resort. We can try to remove it first.

If the above don't help ther are more cleaners.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
