Specs: Windows 7
We have a problem with our laptop. When starting up we get loads of pop-ups telling us that (i think) everything which is trying to start up has a bad image. For example iexplore.exe - bad image, when we try to start internet explorer. We need to click ok to loads of these on startup. I've been reading through other similar posts on here but it all get very confusing. Please help! My 1st baby is due a week tomorrow and my Wife is nipping my heid! (Scuse my Scottish)

download malwarebytes, and run it while in safe mode. ie tap f8 during boot, choose safe mode.
run a disk check.
right click on C; drive, properties/tools/disk check.
let us know if this fixes it, and stay away from naughty websites.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Malwarebytes found, quarantined and deleted one piece of adware which i'm guessing had nothing to do with the bad image problem as it is still there. The disc check also didn't do anything to help the problem.. I have downloaded an application called Wisefixer, which apparently can fix the problem, but costs a fair few quid to register, and every penny counts just now.
