avg 2014 can't start because mfc110u.dll is missing

April 18, 2014 at 15:57:57
Specs: Windows 8.1
When I turn on my laptop, I get the error "avg 2014 can't start because mfc110u.dll is missing, reinstall"

I downloaded AVG fine, but this happens when I try to run it, When I try to uninstall it, the tool stops working and I can't finish the uninstall.

Help? Thank you!

I tried revo and even advanced uninstaller but Revo can't find the program to uninstall, and advanced took me to the uninstaller which doesn't work.

I searched the .exe that I originall downloaded, and what I found on google was that its a malware virus, potentially Zekos. However I've run malwarebytes, hitmanpro, roguekiller, and avast, all of which found things and I deleted but my messed up AVG is still there and I'm not sure how I can get rid of it.

Very odd. About the only thing I can suggest is that you install it from a new download (maybe the original one was corrupt). If it installs this time and you don't want it then use the AVG uninstaller from here:

Before using the uninstaller make sure AVG is turned off.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
