I read this post in April and now I am wxperiencing exactly the same proble and with thw same key. I own a notebook wth XP SP3.

Without pressing any keys on the keyboard, my computer types '/' infinitely at sporadic timings. At first I thought it might be a hardware problem, but I've unplugged the keyboard and the problem still persists. Ran a few scans using AVG, ad-aware and anti-malware (at different instances), but the scans turned out with nothing. I'm not sure what to do now, so if you guys can give me any advice, please do!

Thanks! : )

"but I've unplugged the keyboard"
you opened the case and physically unplugged it on your laptop?

plug in a USB keyboard and see if you have the same problem.

It may be a stuck key on the laptop keyboard. Open command prompt and see if it happens there.

Can you type anything when this is happening? Try opening a notepad and typing.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
