Was using Cloudfogger, a two way encryption program for my cloudbackup in Dropbox. Filehippo, that looks after my updates, told me to download a new version and sent me to the Cloudfogger site. This site announced that it had ended its "project" (without warning) and advised to start using Boxcryptor. See https://www.cloudfogger.com/en/
No instructions how to decrypt my files, but I found a Cloudfogger emergency tool in the Cloudfogger folder that announced it could de-crypt and ran it. After more than five hours hours it was still running, so I assumed that it was not working and put out my PC.
This morning I can still get my files into and out of Dropbox, but I don't know whether the files are encrypted or not. Boxcryptor helpdesk told me not to install it before the Cloudfogger encryption had been undone.
Is there a way to know whether the de-crytion has worked or not ?
