Solved Any way of Delta search virus surviving HDD disk wipe?

Specs: Windows 7
I have a problem with Delta search on my PC, can't remove it. If I use Killdsk to wipe the HHD completely. Can I then take my Win 8 disk and get oit to load the OS without problems

Killdisk will definitely work. You will have to re-install the OS after that.

Make sure when you reinstall, you delete ALL partitions & format to NTFS.
D to Delete the selected partition ( XP )

I don't think you really need to wipe your HDD completely, it's not like virus, rootkit or any other sophisticated malware. It's just a toolbar and also a search engine provider. Just Google for delta search removal and you will find many possible solutions, like this one, even with some nice pictures:

Or if you don't want to remove all that mess manually, you can use AdwCleaner.

Seriously, try these first, there's no reason to rush ahead and wipe your HDD. Cheers!
